Oyster Creek Capital is an independent asset manager that manages structured investments through sub-advisory, separately managed account (SMA), and consultative relationships. We exist to bring efficient implementation of structured note strategies to Registered Investment Advisors in a segment often defined by one-off use and inconsistent execution.
Derived from first-hand experience realizing the complexities, difficulties, and nuance managing a dedicated structured investment sleeve; Oyster Creek Capital was created to make structured security strategies accessible to all Registered Investment Advisors.
Our approach is systematic, organized, and anchored in service to our advisor partners. Our promise is simple: make it effortless and scalable for wealth managers to use structured investment strategies.
Our Team
Kevin P. Hussey
Founder and Principal
Kevin Hussey is the visionary behind Oyster Creek Capital, leading the way with an extensive background with structured investment strategies. He is driven by real-world experience, realizing the difficulties and complexities associated with implementing structured securities; and a desire to simplify their usage, enabling all advisors to realize the merit of this nuanced space for their clients.
His background includes serving as President at a Registered Investment Advisor and Vice President at a major asset manager serving RIAs and independent advisors in the structured investment space. Kevin is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Economics.
Stephen F. Botsford
Economist
Stephen Botsford brings training in economics, capital markets, and public policy across the private and public sectors. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, a Master’s in Applied Economics from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Notre Dame, where he was also a member of the football program.
Stephen began his career on Capitol Hill serving as an economic advisor to U.S. Congressman Tony Cárdenas, advising on policy affecting financial markets, labor, and business investment. He subsequently moved into structured finance, working with advisors and RIAs in capital markets for a period.
Currently, he serves as Managing Partner of Laurel Canyon Holdings, where he oversees financing, property management, and transaction execution across a portfolio of commercial real estate holdings.
Stephen Botsford provides general economic commentary and macroeconomic observations to Oyster Creek Capital LLC. His work is limited to broad economic topics such as interest rates, inflation, employment, monetary policy, and general market conditions. He does not provide investment advice, make securities recommendations, participate in portfolio construction, manage client accounts, solicit advisory clients, exercise discretion, or participate in trade execution.
